Little Free Fridge

"Welcome to Our Freedge" with photo of refrigerator and shelf filled with food

Ritter Public Library has recently opened our Little Free Fridge. A "Freedge" is a free fridge and cupboard. It is a community-based solution to food insecurity. Anyone can donate to or take items from the Little Free Fridge area on a "take what you need, give what you can" basis. Stop by to take items, make a donation, or just see what it's all about - the Little Free Fridge is accessible during all of the library's open hours. It is located near the A/V section and new arrivals.

New!  We now have an Amazon wish list to accept donations. Purchased items will be shipped directly to the library.

You can make a monetary donation directly to the Dave Arnold Special Projects Fund to pay for groceries for the Little Free Fridge. It can cost up to $200 or more to restock the fridges and dry goods shelf, which needs to be done as often as once per week during times of heavy use. Every dollar helps and donations of any size are appreciated. Use the button below to make a quick, easy donation using a card or PayPal account.

Want to get involved? We perpetually accept donations - just place them in the fridge or on the shelf any time the library is open. Please adhere to the donation guidelines below. Items that do not meet donation guidelines will be disposed.
